ECMA welcomes Mainsoft expertise to cross-platform .NET initiative

Mainsoft joins ECMA initiative to standardize Microsoft .NET platform and CLI

San Jose, Calif. September 12, 2002 - Mainsoft Corporation, the software porting company, today announced it has joined the influential European Computer Manufacturers Association (ECMA) a vendor-neutral international standards organization committed to driving industrywide adoption of information and communications technologies. As a new member of the association, Mainsoft will influence thinking on ECMA's strategic initiatives such as standardizing Microsoft .NET technology for implementation on non-Windows platforms.

As an important member of ECMA, Mainsoft will leverage more than a decade of experience in accelerating the process of taking Microsoft technology onto multiple platforms. As the industry leader in cross-platform development solutions, Mainsoft will contribute to new industry standards that will provide greater portability of technologies, including Microsoft's .NET platform and Common Language Infrastructure, between computing environments.
