SharePoint 2010 features

Mainsoft SharePoint Integrator supports the following new SharePoint 2010 features:

  • Managed metadata fields. The SharePoint Integrator supports the new Managed Metadata column type. You can view and edit columns of this type from the Properties window.
  • Tag filter. The tag filter can be used to filter the SharePoint documents list by any tag defined in the enterprise keywords field, or in any managed terms field. To learn more, read Filter the document list by tags.
  • Ratings. To learn how to view the rating of a SharePoint document, read Document rating.
  • Server side validation. When column validation is defined in the document library, you must enter valid values for all fields. Otherwise, you will not be able to check in the file. For more information, read Uploading documents to SharePoint.
  • Open supported documents in Office Web Apps. Configure the SharePoint Integrator to open supported documents in Office Web Apps.
  • Document sets are indicated with this icon:
    • Document set icon.
  • Locked files are indicated with this icon:
    • Locked file icon.
