Viewing My Site Information

Integration with social features is new in Mainsoft SharePoint Integrator 2.5.

My Site is your personal site on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. It is a central location to manage and store your private and shared documents.

Mainsoft’s SharePoint Integrator gives you easy access to documents on SharePoint My Sites, both on your own personal site and on other users’ personal sites.

Notes:

  • To view My Site information, a social networking server must first be configured.
  • SharePoint Online sites do not support the My Site feature.

Viewing My Site in the sidebar

Your personal site is automatically added to the SharePoint sites drop-down list in the sidebar panel. Select My Site to view document libraries on your My Site.

The sites menu includes your personal SharePoint site.

To enable or disable My Site from the SharePoint sites drop-down list:

  1. From the application menu, select File > Preferences > SharePoint.
  2. In the Social Server group, select or deselect Show 'My Site' in the sidebar.

You can open other people’s My Site from their people information pane in Lotus Notes. To learn how, read Viewing people information.
