Objective Views offers a fully MFC-compatible, object-oriented framework for
creating applications that allows users to visually work with data. Objective
Views acts as a layer of abstraction for the Windows GDI, shielding you from
the low-level implementation details so you can concentrate on application
design. You can allow your users to add objects to a layout from a palette
(just like Visio®
) and to create hierarchies, connections, and containers. Objective Views
allows you to incorporate custom graphical objects and enhanced drawing
capabilities into your applications. It is tightly integrated with Visual C++
5.0 and 6.0. With Objective Views you can develop any application that includes
a drawing surface and interaction with graphical objects quickly and
effectively.
You can develop any application that includes a drawing surface
and interaction with graphical objects quickly and effectively using Objective
Views. Here are some of the possibilities:
-
CASE software - applications that show the relationship among
concepts using symbols as notation, such as a modeling tool
-
Hierarchy diagrams, such as a corporate organization chart
-
Control flow applications that describe a process graphically,
using symbols to represent decision points that link to different sections of
the diagram
-
Classic flowcharts, computer network diagrams, family trees, office layouts,
and much more!
It takes only minutes to create an application with
sophisticated graphical functionality. It's a simple four-step process:
-
Use the built-in Symbol Designer to create your graphical objects.
-
Add access to your objects through the user interface.
-
Use the Objective Views AppWizard to generate a complete program.
-
Compile, link and run!
