Mainsoft to Preview IBM Lotus Quickr and Microsoft SharePoint Integration with IBM
Jazz-based Technology
Demo shows future collaboration capabilities of Jazz-based products across
disciplines, IT environments, and development platforms
Rational Software Developer's Conference - Orlando, FLA - June 2, 2008
|
|
Who: |
Mainsoft, an IBM business partner and a leading provider of Microsoft®
- Java™ interoperability software, is working with IBM Rational
software to integrate IBM Lotus Quickr and Microsoft SharePoint®,
two popular Web 2.0-based collaboration workspaces, into future releases of IBM
Rational Team Concert and other Jazz-based products.
Philippe Cohen, Mainsoft's VP products, and other members of the development team,
will demo IBM Rational Team Concert integration with popular Web 2.0 collaboration
sites as well as preview support for the Visual Studio 2008 client at the Mainsoft
booth (#301), beginning June 2, at 5:00 pm.
|
|
What: |
The demo will feature:
- Integration with IBM Lotus Quickr and SharePoint
document libraries. Developers will have direct access to IBM Lotus Quickr and
SharePoint document libraries from a documents browser in the Eclipse and Visual
Studio IDEs.
- Integration with IBM Lotus Quickr and SharePoint
document management workflows. This will allow subject matter experts that do
not use Jazz-based products to easily participate in the software delivery process
using their preferred productivity/collaboration tools.
- Integration with Microsoft Office client applications.
Office users will be able to access, data-mine, and update work items, milestones
and reports using Microsoft Office® applications - including Word®,
Excel®, Project®, and Outlook®.
- Exposing key Jazz project metrics and dashboards on IBM WebSphere®
Portal, IBM Lotus Quickr, and SharePoint, making the software delivery process as
transparent as possible to business stakeholders. Componentized Web 2.0 ready portlets
make end-to-end governance easy with easy integration into any portal infrastructure
– IBM WebSphere Portal, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), or other WSRP-enabled
portal infrastructures.
