Mainsoft extends the availability of Visual MainWin 5 to twelve Unix platforms
Visual MainWin 5 supports seven additional enterprise-platforms
San Jose, Calif. February 26, 2003 - - Mainsoft Corporation, the software porting company, today announced it will significantly broaden the availability of its flagship product Visual MainWin 5, by adding seven new Unix operating systems to its list of supported platforms. Mainsoft will deliver all of the new platforms by June 1, 2003.
"Our latest product, Visual MainWin 5, was designed from the ground up with the Enterprise in mind," said Philippe Cohen, Vice President of Product Development for Mainsoft Corporation. "Having Visual MainWin 5 available on twelve platforms empowers our customers to extend the reach of their Windows applications deeper than ever before into the multi-platform Enterprise."
Visual MainWin 5 was launched in Q4 2002 on five platforms: Solaris 8, HP-UX 11.00 and 11.11, AIX 5.1 and Red Hat Linux 7.3. It attracted considerable market and enterprise-software vendor interest by combining enhanced performance and scalability, with proven robustness for non-stop operation. The addition of Solaris 9, 2.6, 2.7, HP-UX 11.22, AIX 5.2, 4.3.3, and Red Hat Linux 8.0, enables many Mainsoft customers to deliver the Visual MainWin 5 based solutions they've been developing.
