Viewing a user business card

When you hover a user name anywhere in the Social Network viewlet or in a work item in the Team Concert Web interface, Social Connector for Rational Jazz shows a tooltip with profile information from both Jazz and social networks.

The business card includes these tabs:

  • Summary. Includes the user name, photo, job title, e-mail, local time, and country, and links to the user’s Profiles, Blogs, Bookmarks, Communities, Activities, Wikis, and Files.

  • Updates. Includes the user's personal status updates, as well as his recent Jazz activities, such as work items resolutions and posted blog entries.

  • Contact details.
  • About me.
  • In addition to the standard information, the Jazz administrator has the option to add custom tabs to the business card to connect with other social networks using HTML and JavaScript. For more information, read Adding custom tabs to business cards.

The bottom row of the business card, has links to send an e-mail message to the user, invite him to your network, and download his business card to your Desktop.

Notes:
  • If the social network data is not shown in the business card, your Jazz administrator may need to set the Public URI Root in the Advanced Properties page of the Server tab in the Web interface.
  • The About Me tab is not available in the business card if your social network server runs on Lotus Connections 2.0.1.
