Configuring general settings

From the Rational Team Concert application, open Window > Preferences…, and select the Documents category to configure general application settings.

Visible columns

Click the Visible Columns… button, to configure which document properties to display as columns in the Documents view, and their order. By default, each item’s Type icon, Name, and Approval Status are shown. All standard document properties are listed here. You can manage the list of visible columns by adding and removing properties that are available on your Document Site. Use the Add… and Remove buttons to do so.

From the Visible Columns dialog you can select which document data to be available in the Documents view.

Document upload

Here you can configure the behavior when uploading documents to the Document Site.

Select content type during document upload. When selected, if you upload a document to a document library associated with multiple content types, the Choose Content Type dialog prompts you to select a content type for the new document. When the check box is cleared, uploaded documents are automatically associated with the default content type.
