Installing and updating the client component for Rational Team Concert v2.x

Note: To update the client component of Document Collaboration, you first need to remove the existing version.
The Mainsoft Document Collaboration client component is installed as a regular Eclipse update site. To install the client component in Rational Team Concert v2.x, do the following:
  1. Depending on the type of Document Site you use, download the update site for the appropriate Document Collaboration edition from ibm.com/software/awdtools/document:
    • For Microsoft SharePoint: DocumentCollaborationClientUpdateSiteforRTC2_SharePoint.zip
    • For Lotus Quickr: DocumentCollaborationClientUpdateSiteforRTC2_Quickr.zip
Note: You cannot install both editions on the same computer.
Note: The Eclipse update manager does not support installation of update sites that are located on a UNC path.
  2. From Rational Team Concert’s application menu, select Help > Software Updates....
  3. Select the Available Software tab and click the Add Site... button.
  4. In the Add Site dialog, click Archive... and browse to the local copy of the update site that you downloaded.
  5. Select the check box for "Mainsoft Document Collaboration for Rational Jazz", click the Install button and follow the on-screen instructions.
