Approving documents

Note: This topic is not relevant for the Lotus Quickr edition of Mainsoft Document Collaboration for Rational Jazz.

You can use the document context menu to approve and reject SharePoint documents.

Document Collaboration lets you approve and reject documents in libraries that are configured to require content approval. Document libraries with content approval leave new and edited documents in a pending state, only visible to users with the Manage Lists permission on SharePoint. These documents have to be approved before they are visible to all users. If both major and minor versions are being tracked in the document library, the author must publish the document before it can be submitted for approval.

From the context menu, select Approve/Reject to open the Approve or Reject dialog.

The Approve or Reject dialog lets you mark the document as pending, approved or rejected.

From the Approve or Reject dialog, you can mark the document as pending, approved, or rejected, and enter a comment about its selected status.
