KB: Setting a default content type when uploading e-mail messages with harmon.ie

When uploading an e-mail message to SharePoint, you can automatically assign the e-mail message to a mail content type, even if the mail content type is not the default content type defined for this library.

To do this:

1. Create a new empty file named mail.contenttype on your local computer.
2. Open the file in a text editor and write the mail content type name that you want to set as the default content type for e-mail messages.
3. Upload the file to the root of the document library.
