About Mainsoft
Founded in 1993, Mainsoft Corporation is a leading provider of interoperability software products for Windows® and open systems. We built our C++ enterprise porting platform, Mainsoft for UNIX® and Linux® (formerly called MainWin), during an eight-year R&D partnership with Microsoft. Today many of the world's largest independent software vendors, including IBM Rational, Oracle, Siebel, and Business Objects, deploy more than $1 billion in Windows software annually on UNIX, Linux, or both operating systems.
Since 2003, Mainsoft has focused on .NET-Java EE interoperability issues, developing a suite of .NET-Java interoperability software products for enterprise IT and ISVs that need a tight integration between .NET and the Java EE platforms. In 2006, Forrester recognized Mainsoft as a leading option for .NET-Java interoperability solutions.
With the explosive growth of Microsoft SharePoint, IBM Lotus customers recognized the need to integrate SharePoint with IBM platforms and asked Mainsoft to extend our expertise to include SharePoint. In response, we launched our first SharePoint Integrator product in November 2007, when IBM signed a global reseller agreement to sell Mainsoft software for IBM WebSphere Portal directly to enterprise customers.
Mainsoft has since expanded our SharePoint Integration products to include Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime® and Rational® Jazz™. IT users and developers can now work more productively, with easy access to SharePoint documents and server collaboration features from within their day-to-day work environment.
Harmon.ie is Mainsoft’s newest initiative to make document sharing easy for Microsoft® Outlook® users. The software makes it easy to share documents in the Cloud, replacing attachments with links to Google or SharePoint documents so users can all work in harmony on a single copy of a document.
