Sharing Work Items as activities
From the context of a Jazz Work Item you can create a new activity entry to collaborate on shared goals across your organization. Creating a new activity entry adds a link from the Work Item to the activity and another from the activity entry back to the Work Item.

To add a new Lotus Connections activity entry from a Work Item:
- Open the Work Item.
- Click the Add Work Item to activity icon in the upper icon bar. The Select Activity dialog opens.
- To add an existing activity, enter a search filter to load the list of matching activities. Use the * character to match partial words in the activity title. Alternatively, select Show All to view all activities.
- Select the activity and click OK.
- Save the Work Item.
- or -
To add a new activity, click the Start Activity button and create a new activity.
This creates a new entry in the activity with a link to the Work Item. A link from the Work Item to the activity is also created in the Work Item’s Links tab.
Notes:
- The Select Activity dialog lists public and private activities where you have permission to add activity entries.
- The Work Item and the activity entry are separate entities. Completing a Work Item does not complete the entry, and vice versa.
